Ward Easter Party

This was one of the funnest ward parties I have been to. Our ward is a great size so there is room for everyone at the party. A member of our bishopric does catering so the meat dinner was catered. We just brought a side dish or dessert. I brought Judy's caramel Brownies they were a hit. My friend did the cake and I couldn't believe how great it looked. I am having her help me with Chase's cake. After dinner the kids had an easter egg hunt then there were different games for kids and adults. I hope they do it agian.

Spring Break 2011

We ventured to Hocking Hills for the last week of March in celebration of "spring" break. Fortunately, it only snowed one afternoon, which led to a polar bear sprint through the snow. Other than that, we stayed in a cozy cabin, hiked 4 days straight, and saw some amazing rock creations, cliffs, caves, and waterfalls in the middle of a beautiful hardwood and pine forest. The kids did great, scouted out trails, manned the radios well, and enjoyed campfire marshmellows in the evenings after dinner. Perhaps atypical to celebrate spring break outside in the 30's and 40's, but would do it again in a heartbeat.

Dax's Science Fair project

In Bellbrook 2nd grade does a science fair. Dax decided that he wanted to do one on paper airplanes. Judd helped Dax fold 4 different designed planes and we used three different paper weights. Then after it was our turn to clean the church we conducted our experiment. Everyone had a job. Dad was the launcher. Dax was the recorder. Mom measured the distances. Annabelle was the aircraft retrieval specialist. Chase helped as Annabelle's assistant. We then celebrated our success at the Waffle House. Dax's teacher was very impressed by is project and his presentation.

Annabelle's 5th Birthday

Annabelle's Spa Party

Annabelle decided that this year she wanted to have a spa birthday party where she put vegetables on her eye. She personally wrote each invitation and then delivered them to her friends. We started with a tea party with finger sandwiches, cheese cubes, ants on a long and fruit.

Then it was present time. She was lucky and received lots of make-up, a Barbie movie and some mini princesses.
Then it was time for the spa treatments. Each girl got cucumbers on their eyes, sparkle lotion on the arms and hands, painted fingers and toes, and make-up. The girls had so much fun.

We ended with cake and dancing. Overall it was a great birthday.

Halloween

Trunk or Treat

We decided to brave the craziness of our ward for the trunk or treat. Our ward is so big that people sit on the stage and some of the food is in the nursery. The kids had lots of fun though.

My Belated Birthday

My friend Melanie wanted to go out to celebrate my birthday. I decided I wanted to go to a haunted house. We discovered the most amazing haunted Amusement Park. Thats right and Adult Haunted Amusement Park called The Land of Illusions. I have never been to anything like it. There were five different haunted events. Melanie and I only found four of them. The haunted house was a real farm house. It was a lot of fun. We made some New Friends.

The park also had a bomb fire and a DJ. There was also a headless horse man that rode through the park. We then went to the Haunted trail, which is by far the best one I have EVER been in. They had a bus and a Junk yard, a maze, a vortex, and more. I couldn't believe how long it was.

Next was the Temple of Terror, which was a knock off of the Indiana Jones movie. We were kind of let down after the trail but it was still good.

We ended in the clown house. Which was a spook up fun house in 3D. We are making a new tradition. Every year we are going back!
