Coloring Eggs

This is a great picture if you want to see Chase's scar from his shopping cart accident.
Can you tell which eggs are Annabelle's?

Dax is very careful with his eggs. He take the longest time to color them and he like to try different kinds of eggs. This one is his favorite.

The Egg Factory at First School

I was scheduled to do Annabelle's Easter Party at her school. I didn't know that Dax would have that day off of school, but it worked out fine for everyone. Dax was able to help some of the kids do their egg and then he was able to do some eggs of his own. I learned a whole bunch of new ways to color eggs. They had melted crayons, tissue paper tie dye, and animal design with pom poms and paper cutouts.

Then they each put a green egg in the magic egg machine and said some magic words and out popped a colored egg with a kiss in it. Whenever you asked Chase what the magic word is he always says magic magic. He refuses to say please. So he said magic magic, Annabelle said hocus pocus, and Dax said Happy Easter.

Ward Easter Party

This was one of the funnest ward parties I have been to. Our ward is a great size so there is room for everyone at the party. A member of our bishopric does catering so the meat dinner was catered. We just brought a side dish or dessert. I brought Judy's caramel Brownies they were a hit. My friend did the cake and I couldn't believe how great it looked. I am having her help me with Chase's cake. After dinner the kids had an easter egg hunt then there were different games for kids and adults. I hope they do it agian.

Annabelle's school went on a field trip to Possum Creek Metro Part. It is a working educational farm. Where the kids can see and learn about farm animals. We all had a great time.

Spring Break 2011

We ventured to Hocking Hills for the last week of March in celebration of "spring" break. Fortunately, it only snowed one afternoon, which led to a polar bear sprint through the snow. Other than that, we stayed in a cozy cabin, hiked 4 days straight, and saw some amazing rock creations, cliffs, caves, and waterfalls in the middle of a beautiful hardwood and pine forest. The kids did great, scouted out trails, manned the radios well, and enjoyed campfire marshmellows in the evenings after dinner. Perhaps atypical to celebrate spring break outside in the 30's and 40's, but would do it again in a heartbeat.
