Spring Break 2011

We ventured to Hocking Hills for the last week of March in celebration of "spring" break. Fortunately, it only snowed one afternoon, which led to a polar bear sprint through the snow. Other than that, we stayed in a cozy cabin, hiked 4 days straight, and saw some amazing rock creations, cliffs, caves, and waterfalls in the middle of a beautiful hardwood and pine forest. The kids did great, scouted out trails, manned the radios well, and enjoyed campfire marshmellows in the evenings after dinner. Perhaps atypical to celebrate spring break outside in the 30's and 40's, but would do it again in a heartbeat.
