Judoga Dax

Dax has been doing Judo starting this past June (it was the best way of


getting him exposed to wrestling) and he had his first tournament as a white

belt this past weekend. At the tournament he was matched up 1st to an

Orange belt (2+ years experience) and did okay, held his own, but lost the

match. He then was matched up against a yellow belt (1/2-1 year experience)

and won with 2 waza-ari's (2-1/2 points--need 1 point to win the match)

awarded for 2 shoulder throws--it was a beautiful thing! He had him down on

the ground and pinned as they called the match with his second throw...he

finished the match exhausted but happy--that's my boy!



The picture is a little grainy, but this is him bowing in to his 1st

match--I think I had as much fun as Dax did at the tourney.
